Text Box: September 12, 2008 Dear Gina: The South Carolina League for Nursing (SCLN) invites you to assist us in recognizing outstanding individuals who contribute to health care in our state. You can participate in the SCLN Awards Program by sponsoring an individual to receive the South Carolina League for Nursing Award for Excellence. Nurses, healthcare professionals, or other individuals who have made significant contributions to the quality of health care are eligible for nomination. This prestigious program of recognition will provide you and your organization with an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the individual you nominate. We invite you to join our celebration of excellence by completing the enclosed form and sending it with a fee of $200.00 for each sponsored individual to the SCLN by October 26, 2007. All award recipients along with one (1) guest will be invited to attend the SCLN Annual Awards Dinner where they will be individually recognized and will receive a personalized plaque commemorating the award. Net proceeds from this program will be used to fund scholarships for nursing students in South Carolina. The SCLN will notify the award recipients and handle all details of promotion and presentation of this award. Press releases concerning the awards will be sent to local media and to the National League for Nursing. Enclosed is the Awardee Nomination Form. Please join us in recognizing these outstanding individuals in 2007. This year the SCLN Awards Dinner is scheduled for Friday, November 14, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at the Clarion Town House Hotel in Columbia, SC. The $200.00 fee includes dinner for the awardee and one (1) guest. Additional tickets for guests and family members accompanying your nominee can be purchased for $40.00 each and can be included on the official nomination form. And, of course, we encourage you to support your nominee with your attendance. Your support for this program will be greatly appreciated.
